Preventative care for dogs and cats includes essential vaccines and diagnostics to protect them from serious diseases and conditions.
Dogs
Rabies Vaccine $30
Vaccinating your dog against Rabies is required by law. Rabies is a viral disease transmitted through the bite of an infected animal. It is most often fatal and is 100% preventable. Rabies is a zoonotic disease, meaning humans can be infected.
DAPP Vaccine $30
Protects against Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. Puppies should be vaccinated every 3-4 weeks from 6-8 weeks old until 16 weeks, with a booster after one year and then every three years.
Leptospirosis Vaccine $35
Guards against a bacteria found in soil and water that can damage the liver and/or kidneys. Leptospirosis can infect humans too. Dogs can encounter it through water, soil, or contact with infected animals.
Bordetella Vaccine $30
Prevents kennel cough, a highly contagious respiratory disease, spread through close contact with infected dogs.
Heartworm Test $48
Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease which can cause lung disease, heart failure, and/or damage to other organs. Yearly testing and keeping your pet on heartworm prevention are recommended.
Fecal Test $45
Intestinal parasites are very common in puppies and can be transmitted through infected soil. Testing during puppyhood and then yearly thereafter is recommended.
Cats
Rabies Vaccine $30
Mandatory by law, it protects against rabies, a fatal viral disease transmitted through the bite of an infected animal. It can be transmitted to humans.
FVRCP Vaccine $30
Also called the feline distemper vaccine, it shields cats from Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia. Kittens need this vaccine at 8, 12, and 16 weeks old, followed by a booster after one year and then every three years.
FeLV Vaccine $35
Prevents Feline Leukemia Virus, a disease spread through close contact with infected cats. Kittens should receive two boosters 3-4 weeks apart after being tested, and yearly as adults depending on their lifestyle.
FeLV/FIV Test $48
Essential for detecting Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, which can severely affect a cat’s health. Testing is recommended for kittens before their first FeLV vaccine and for adults under certain conditions.
Fecal Test $45
Important for identifying intestinal parasites, which are common in kittens. Testing during kittenhood and then annually afterwards, depending on the cat's lifestyle.
